Troubleshooting -Frequently occuring problems and their solutions!

This section goes through frequently occuring problems with ATHEN and their (probable) solutions.

Errors on startup of ATHEN

Q:On Mac, ATHEN does not start, instead the following error message pops up

Q: After executing ATHEN, nothing happens

This might happen because your computer/laptop has less than 2GB of ram. By default ATHEN starts the JVM with 2GB of ram. To change this, you can edit the eclipse.ini in the same location as the executable. The entries -Xmx2g and -Xmx1g can be adjusted to your current situation

Errors while importing documents

Q:ATHEN does not display currently imported documents

Restart the application, the file watching is sometimes still buggy and needs to be fixed. After a restart it should be alright again.
